Moroski for Cincinnati City Council Partners with Local Businesses for School Supply Drive

The campaign of Mike Moroski for Cincinnati City Council is pleased to announce that it will be holding a School Supply Drive during the month of August.

A kickoff event will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at both Japp’s and Neon’s Unplugged, located in Over-the-Rhine. During this time, Team Moroski will collect school supplies to benefit less fortunate students for the upcoming 2013-14 academic year.

This effort speaks to both Moroski’s professional and personal histories.  “I am a teacher in all that I do. I always have been, and always will be.  I have seen first-hand how our low-income brothers and sisters suffer from the opportunity gap in our schools, oftentimes not being able to afford pencils and notebooks,” Moroski said.  “I am excited to be involved with our school supply drive at Japp’s and Neon’s. This is not a fundraiser. This is about coming together and helping those in Cincinnati who will one day be our leaders.”

Supplies will be collected at each of the Team Moroski events during the entire month of August, with the last day to donate being Labor Day weekend.  Supplies will benefit the students at Lower Price Hill Community School, located on St. Michael Street in Lower Price Hill.
