The United Food and Commercial Workers Union (UFCW) Local 75 announced their endorsement of Cincinnati City Council candidate Mike Moroski. The UFCW represents nearly 30,000 members along the I-75 corridor in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Their members work mostly in supermarkets, drug stores, packing and processing plants and healthcare facilities.
The UFCW Local 75 supports candidates “who will fight for issues important to our members, and will advocate for good jobs in our neighborhoods,” UFCW President Lennie Wyatt said in a statement.
“We are please to endorse Mike and support his candidacy in the 2013 Cincinnati City Council election,” Mr. Wyatt said, “We look forward to working with him to make Cincinnati a better place to live and work.”
“I am very humbled and honored to receive this endorsement,” Mike Moroski said in response to the UFCW announcement, “I will continue to fight for workers’ rights on the campaign trail, once elected, and beyond.”
