The Teamsters Local 100 has announced their endorsement of Cincinnati City Council candidate Mike Moroski. The Teamsters represent over 1.4 million members and 500,000 retirees across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. The union is organized under 21 Industrial Divisions that include every occupation imaginable, both professional and non-professional, private sector and public sector. The primary responsibility of the Teamsters is to organize and educate workers so that they will attain a higher standard of living.
“After careful consideration of his credentials, experience and community service, we believe that Mike Moroski is the ideal person to hold a position on Cincinnati City Council,” Teamsters Local 100 President Butch Lewis said in a statement.
“We look forward to working with Mr. Moroski in the future,” Mr. Lewis said, “and extend our best wishes to him for a successful campaign.”
“I am humbled and honored to receive the endorsement of the Teamsters Local 100,” Mike Moroski said in response to the Teamsters announcement.
“As a member of City Council I will continue to advocate for the rights of our workers in the transportation field as I have throughout my professional career,” Mr. Moroski said, “Furthermore, I will use my elected authority to see to it that ALL workers in my jurisdiction are treated fairly, receive a living wage, and are never stripped of their right to organize.”
